Jaarlijks reikt het juridisch magazine "Revue pratique des sociétés" een prijs uit voor de beste masterscriptie binnen het onderzoeksdomein van handelsrecht, financieel recht of belastingsrecht aan een student van een Belgische universiteit. Dit jaar besloot de jury de prijs, ter waarde van 1.500 euro, toe te kennen aan Edith Weemaels, advocate bij NautaDutilh, voor haar masterscriptie over de aansprakelijkheid van rating agencies. Aan de prijs hangt tevens de publicatie van de winnende scriptie vast.
Dans un lourd contexte de crise et de réformes des procédures collectives au niveau international, notre législateur adoptait il y a trois ans déjà la loi sur la continuité des entreprises. Tout le monde s'accordait en effet à dire que l'application de notre ancienne loi sur le concordat judiciaire était un échec, notamment en raison des conditions strictes que cette loi imposait aux entreprises en difficulté afin de pouvoir accéder à la protection prévue par cette procédure.
